Between Salobreña and Motril on the Costa Tropical lies a fruitful plain with custard apple and sugar cane plantations which grow well here due to the mild sub tropical climate all year round. Casa Peggy is situated above this plain and has wonderful views of the sea and the old part of the whitewashed town of Salobreña and its impressive Moorish castle. Casa Peggy is a detached house with 2 bedrooms, lounge with open plan kitchen and a bathroom with shower facilities. Outside there is a covered terrace where guests can relax in the shade and enjoy the views. The beach is a 12 minute drive away.
The house itself is built in good taste and stylishly furnished. Of particular interest are the paintings, done by a German artist, that adorn the walls of every room. The lounge has satellite TV, air conditioning and an attractively built open fireplace.
There are French windows which lead out to the covered terrace which has table and chairs for eating al fresco and beside the terrace there is a brick barbecue. In front of the terrace is a garden with a lovely array of flowers and shrubs and garden furniture and loungers are provided for sunbathing. The garden is enclosed and cannot be seen from the road. The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons including a baking oven, washing machine and dishwasher.
The landlady of Casa Peggy also offers painting courses charged at 50 euros for a whole afternoon (including materials). Also, if arriving in the evening or at the weekend, guests have the option to order a food pack and they will be offered a cocktail on arrival and a chance to chat with the owners about the house and receive information about the area.
Salobreña is an attractive town to visit and also has a 9 hole golf course called Los Moriscos near to the beach of "Playa Granada" The beautiful city of Granada, a 50 minute drive away, is also worth a visit and, a little further, the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Malaga Airport is a 70 minute drive.
Casa Peggy is more suitable for adults and the owners have stipulated that it cannot be rented to families with children under 10 years old.
