"CORTIJO MEDIA LUNA"...

.... is a beautiful country house and land nestling within an extensive subtropical valley, only 10 minutes walking distance from Orgiva. The views from the gardens, particularly from the swimming pool area, are tremendous, taking in the surrounding valley and distant snow-tipped mountains of the Sierra Nevadas.

The way leading down to the property is a meandering track, alongside the River Chico, leading through lush Orange and Lemon Orchards.

The house itself is large and spacious (80m²) with two bedrooms, bathroom and a sizeable lounge with sitting area by the fireplace, dining area and open-plan kitchen. The household furniture and equipment are down-to-earth and comfortable. The thick walls of the house provide good insolation against both the heat and the cold. There is also a ceiling fan for extra hot days and an open fireplace and two electric radiators for the cooler winter nights.

CORTIJO MEDIA LUNA is surrounded by fruit trees, flower shrubs and lawn, covering 3000m² of land. The swimming pool (10x5m) is situated above the house on a plateau, separated by a gate which acts as a safety precaution for young children. There are sun beds and sunshades to relax around the pool. In front of the property there is a good-sized terrace (3 x 6m) furnished with garden table and chairs and shaded in the summer months by bamboo and a grapevine. It is the perfect place for quiet evenings outside or for relaxing away from the sun.

Orgiva, the main town of the Alpujarras, is a 5 minute drive away and ideal for shopping, restaurants, banks and most other amenities. There is also a large market on Thursdays, offering a wide range of local produce.

Granada, well worth a visit, is a 1 hour's drive and the beaches of the "Costa Tropical" near Salobreña are a 45 minute drive.

A refundable security deposit of 150 EUR is required.
Fire wood is not included in the price and can be bought for € 12 the barrow
Swimming pool from 01/05 to end of October.
One smaller dog can be permitted with prior arrangement.
