HOLIDAY RENTAL FRIGILIANA - COSTA DEL SOL
CORTIJO MONTECANOCortijo Montecano is a beautifully reconditioned 120m large country house with private pool, sea views, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is in a very tranquil and rural area and only 3 kilometres from the white village of Frigiliana.
From the house one has a fantastic view of the azure Mediterranean and the green hills planted with avocados along the coastal strip. The nearest coastal town is Nerja (about 12 minutes drive) where there are some very beautiful beaches and a picturesque old part of town hewn out of an impressive rock plateau.
In the summer guests can enjoy the magnificent 7 x 4m swimming pool (1.30m to 1.80m deep) or eat al fresco on the spacious terrace beside the house. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views and the terrace is covered with bamboo matting for those who like shade and there are 6 comfortable sun loungers for sunbathing around the pool, as well as an
external shower. On the east side of the terrace there is a little barbecue area with sink and wood oven for those who want to try baking bread Andalusian style!
CORTIJO MONTECANO has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with dining area and a cosy living room which leads out to the terrace and pool area. The house is a delightful place built in the traditional style of the region with timber ceilings and gable roof. It is comfortably furnished and radiates a pleasant atmosphere.
The living room has satellite TV with international programmes, DVD player and a glass fronted fireplace. It is connected to the kitchen and dining area by an attractive brick archway. There is a bedroom with a double bed (1.50 m wide) and en-suite bathroom with shower (master bedroom). For the two other bedrooms there is a second bathroom with bath tub and all rooms are nicely furnished.
Parking is next to the house. The approach road is somewhat curvy but perfectly accessible with any car.
The nearest town (5 minutes drive) is Frigiliana, where there are supermarkets and shops and also good restaurants and bars. Another 5 minutes drive takes you to Nerja and the new motorway which connects with all the other tourist destinations - Granada and the skiing areas of the Sierra Nevada (1 hour away) and Malaga Airport (45 minutes). Between Nerja and Almunecar there is an array of lovely bays deemed to be the best beaches on the Costa del Sol (15 to 20 minutes drive from the house).

Starting April 2010 all bookings get a last minute discount of 100,- EUR per week to the above published prices.
High season plus: 1270 EUR per week (01/07 to 31/08)
High season: 880 EUR per week (June + September)
Mid season: 730 EUR per week (May + October)
Winter season: 620 EUR per week (remainder of the year)
Easter, Christmas: 825 EUR per week (28/03 to 04/04/2010 + 24/12 to 05/01/2011)
Minimum rental period is 7 days - no change over day
Firewood is provided for the first evening only.
