  HOLIDAY RENTAL FRIGILIANA - NERJA  CORTIJO CORTES
  2 BEDROOMS, GARDEN & PRIVATE POOL

CORTIJO CORTES is a centuries-old farmhouse, 80m ², which was expanded and converted into a beautiful holiday home. The owner Antonio, lived there as a child and worked the land with his family when it was a traditional finca. The house has retained much of its traditional character although it has been improved and now the upper storey has a large bedroom and newly built bathroom and the luxurious pool surrounded by palms was built in recent years.

Cortijo Cortes is situated in the midst of a hidden green valley to the west of Frigiliana and 7 km away from the sea. It is the most rural of our houses in Nerja and the perfect choice for nature lovers. By car it is 20 minutes to the coast.  The access road to the house is windy and unpaved but still negotiable with any type of current car. Notz recomendable for learners or scary drivers.

There is parking space next to the house which leads onto a vine-covered terrace with table and chairs and a large brick barbecue for eating al fresco and, during harvest time, guests can also help themselves to the delicious grapes, perfect for breakfast.
This is also the entrance to the house and the path leading to the garden and
beautiful pool surrounded by a large green lawn. Sun loungers are available and there is a bamboo roof shade next to the pool.

The central room of the house is the living room with a sitting area by the fireplace and a dining area. The ceiling is traditional Andalusian design with wooden beams and the spacious room is charmingly decorated.  The kitchen, accessed through an archway, is simple yet very practical. There is a bedroom with twin beds accessed from the opposite end of the lounge and next to this there is a staircase leading to the upper storey where the bathroom and main bedroom are located.

The bathroom has shower and bath facilities and the water is heated with solar panels making it both economical and ecological.  The upper bedroom is beautifully designed with restored windows, timber ceiling and terracotta floors. The room has a very tranquil feel to it, added to by the birds singing outside.  The walls are also very thick so that it is warm in winter and cool in summer.
All in all, the house has been superbly renovated with great attention to detail and with its location, provides a wonderful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and far removed from the usual tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol.
 
The nearest place for supplies, banks and shopping is Frigiliana, about 12 minutes drive, which also has a number of interesting bars and restaurants.
It is another 5 minutes drive to Nerja and the new motorway leading to most other destinations and places in Andalusia. The historic city of Granada and, a little further, the skiing areas of the Sierra Nevada, are just over an hour‘s drive. Malaga airport is  45 minutes away. Between Nerja and Almuñecar there is a natural park with various bays and some of the most beautiful beaches along the Costa del Sol which, by car, is only 20 minutes from CORTIJO CORTES.

PRICES:

High season:    798 EUR per week (01/07 to end of August)

Mid season:     580 EUR per week (June, September, Christmas, Easter)

Low season:     480 EUR per week (April, May & October)

Winter season:    425 EUR per week (remainder of the year)

Price per night is 125,- €

A refundable deposit of 150 EUR is requested on arrival to cover any damages.
Pets are permitted with prior notice.
Minimum rental period is 3 days - daily rate is 125 EUR (only in mid and winter season)
The price in the winter season does not include electricity. This is charged at 0.19 € per KW/h and deducted from the deposit.
Firewood in the winter is provided for one day and then charged at 10 € per wheel barrow from the landlord.
