"CORTIJO LA ENCINILLA" 

Holiday villa CORTIJO LA ENCINILLA lies in a beautiful, quiet location within walking distance of the famous spa town of Lanjaron. From the villa, and particularly from the roof terrace of the house, one has a splendid panoramic view looking over the town and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

The 3 bedroom house is designed in the Moorish style with flat roof and is discreetly sheltered amidst several magnificent walnut trees. When the sunlight filters through it creates an exceptional light and feel on the house and its surrounding terraces. Directly by the house there is a spacious outdoor terrace with seating and a barbecue overlooking the swimming pool. Many holidaymakers spend a large percentage of their time in this relaxing and intimate place. The kitchen is nearby and the stereo system in the house has outdoor speakers.

CORTIJO LA ENCINILLA also has a roof terrace which is accessed from the rear of the house. The land is almost completely fenced in (although dogs can escape) and offers a great deal of privacy. The beautiful 10 x 4 meter pool is well sizes and private. The village of Lanjaron is about 15 minutes walk away. The return trip is uphill and could be challenging for some people.

The entrance to the house is from the front terrace, leading into the lounge which has a cozy sofa corner by the fireplace. The TV only has Spanish programs but there is a DVD player. Next to the lounge there is a well-equipped open plan kitchen with dishwasher, oven and microwave. At the back of the house there are 3 bedrooms and an imaginatively tiled bathroom.

Final part of the access to the house is the steep - before the road leads through the narrow streets of this typically Andalusian town. The villa is about 5 minutes drive from the nearest bank and supermarket.

Lanjaron is a friendly, tourist town, famous for its medicinal waters, with spas and massage centers and some of the best bars and restaurants in the area. It also has its own Moorish castle, built on an almost inaccessible hill, impressive to behold. The beaches around Salobreña or the historic city of Granada are about a 40 minute drive away.
