.... is a beautiful holiday apartment situated below the old town quarters of Capileira, one of the highest mountain villages in the Sierra Nevada. It boasts a beautiful private front garden of 40 m² sheltered by some shady trees and a beautiful flower garden with a stone barbeque.
It lays claim to fantastic views over the mountains and down to the sea. The snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada dominate the impressive scenery to the north and most evenings end in a dramatic, breath-taking sunset.

The house is recently constructed. The owners attached great importance to the use of traditional style elements and building materials. This - in community with the comfortable heating mechanism - offers for the duration of your stay a comfortable home for you to relax after walking tours and excursions. The central heating operated over the fireplace makes Casa Barbacoa perfect for winter holidays aswell.
Kitchen equipment is basic. The house provides a spacious lounge with a traditional open fireplace and friendly, open-plan kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms for a maximum of 3 people.

Casa Barbacoa is an ideal starting point for exploring the Sierra Nevada National Park. In the delightful village of Capileira there is a tourist information office, many good restaurants and even a small local museum.
Information on horse riding routes is available on request. In summer there is a public swimming pool at Capileira campsite.

You have to walk 5 minutes from the Parking to the house as cars can not pass through the narrow roads of the historic part of Capileira.
