LA CASITA DEL VALLE is an attractive cottage nestling in a tranquil, dreamlike green valley above Almuñecar. It is a charming, rural location but still only 15 minutes drive from Almuñecar's historic old town and selection of beaches.
The house has a terraced garden where guests can enjoy panoramic views over the valley and fields of exotic subtropical fruits such as avocado, custard apples and loquats. The living room and bedrooms are very comfortable and there is a well-equipped kitchen and attractive bathroom with shower facility. There is no swimming pool but there is an oval tiled bath tub (1m x 2m) outside where guests can cool off and enjoy the views!
The property is located up a 100m track, a little rough in places but perfectly accessible in a normal car. This leads to the parking area a few metres from the house. One enters the house from the covered terrace into the lounge, which doubles up as a bedroom, and the open plan kitchen. From here there is a hallway leading to the bathroom.
The bright, welcoming living room is stylishly furnished with refreshing colours, lamps and mirrors and has a an attractive wooden ceiling. There is a dining table and wood stove and a hammock on hand for complete relaxation. There is no television but radio and CD player are available.
LA CASITA is built in the typical style of the area with gable roof and gets almost all-day sun. It is a beautiful, quiet place for a relaxing holiday with plenty of sunshine during the day and starry nights to enjoy on the terrace later on.
The house has 2 single beds, that can be joined together and there is a cot available on request. An extra bed can also be supplied for a third person at 10 euros per day extra. The house is not really suitable for young children because of some steep drops around the property and children over 8 years old would be charged at the third person rates above.
The nearest place for shopping is Almuñecar, a few kilometres away, which is a pleasant town to wander around. Granada and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada, are an hour’s drive. Malaga or Granada Airport is an hour away and Almeria is 1.5 to 2 hours drive.

Firewood is available from the landlord at 10 EUR per wheelbarrow
